We also pull in utility interconnection data from the major providers. It's a goldmine—shows who actually went through the process, not just who thought about it. The catch? Each utility has its own API, and some are rate-limited to hell. We've got a cron job that runs daily, but don't expect real-time. 24-hour lag is the best we can do.

Data Schema & Dictionary

Permit Date

The date the solar permit was filed. Not the approval date, the filing date. This is the earliest signal you can get—these people are in the research phase, so hit them fast.

Property Address

Street address of the property where the solar system is going. It's the homeowner's address, not the installer's. Use it to send direct mail or to run a geo-targeted campaign.

County

Which county the permit was filed in. Useful for filtering by state or utility territory. Some states have different incentives, so this helps you prioritize.

Permit Type

Residential or commercial. Obvious, but you'd be surprised how many people ignore this. Commercial leads are worth way more, but they're rarer. Filter by this before you blast an email.

Installer Name

The company that filed the permit. If it's a big national player, the lead might be locked. If it's a local guy, the homeowner might still be open to quotes. Use this to qualify.

System Size (kW)

The size of the solar system in kilowatts as listed on the permit. Bigger system means bigger budget, but also more competition. Use this to tailor your pitch.

How fresh is this data?
We scrape permits daily, but there's a lag of 24-48 hours. If you need real-time, we're not for you. But if a 48-hour-old lead is too cold, you're doing something wrong.
How many records are there?
Right now we have about 1.2 million rows spanning the last 12 months. It grows by about 3,000 per day. Not huge, but it's niche. You're not competing with everyone else who bought a generic list.
Do you provide phone numbers?
No. We only have addresses and sometimes email if it's public. We don't scrape private data. If you need phone numbers, you'll have to append them yourself. We're not going to jail for you.
