Scraping Salesforce's public customer list is a game of whack-a-mole. They have a 'Customers' page that's mostly marketing fluff, but we dug into their press releases, investor decks, and partner directories to extract real names. The tricky part was deduplicating subsidiaries and keeping only the parent entity. We also cross-referenced with LinkedIn company pages to verify they actually have Salesforce in their tech stack.

The hardest part was filtering out the noise. Salesforce's customer list includes everyone from tiny startups to Fortune 500s, and half the page is just logos. We built a scraper that hits their /company/customers page, but the HTML is a mess—lazy-loaded images, obfuscated URLs. We ended up using Playwright to render the page and extract the logo alt text. Then we matched those against a database of company names to get their industry and headcount.

We also pulled data from Salesforce's AppExchange to find companies that have built integrations—those are definitely customers. And we scraped Salesforce's own job postings for 'Salesforce Administrator' roles to find companies that are actively hiring for Salesforce talent. That gave us a signal on who's actually using it, not just who has a logo on a page. The result is a clean CSV with ~15k verified companies.

Data Schema & Dictionary

company_name

The legal entity name of the company using Salesforce. We've cleaned up the casing and removed legal suffixes where possible, but don't expect perfection – it's scraped from multiple sources.

domain

The primary website domain. This is what you'll use to find the company's contact info or enrich with other tools. If it's blank, the company is probably a subsidiary with no public site.

industry

The industry the company operates in, based on SIC/NAICS codes or LinkedIn categories. It's rough – some are 'Software', others are 'Healthcare'. Good for filtering, but don't quote it in a legal doc.

employee_count

The number of employees, scraped from LinkedIn or company profile pages. It's an estimate, not a census. Use it to prioritize outreach – bigger companies have more budget but take longer to close.

salesforce_products

A pipe-separated list of Salesforce products the company uses, like 'Sales Cloud|Service Cloud'. We infer this from job postings, press releases, and their careers page. It's not exhaustive, but it tells you if they're a power user or just have a login.

source_url

The URL where we found evidence of their Salesforce usage. You can check it yourself if you want to verify. It's usually a press release or a job posting. Don't spam these pages.

last_seen

The date we last scraped this record. If it's older than 6 months, the company might have switched to another CRM. Use this to prioritize your list – fresher is better.

How fresh is this data?
We scrape it on the 1st of the month. If you find a stale record, tell us and we'll swap the credit. Simple. We also run a weekly health check on the domains to flag dead ones, but the core data is monthly.
Can you guarantee these are actual Salesforce customers?
No. We can't get inside their account. We verify via public evidence – press releases, job postings, partner directories. If you need 100% certainty, you're out of luck. This is a leads list, not a contract.
Why are there duplicates?
Because a company might appear under different names or we merged subsidiaries incorrectly. We've tried to dedupe by domain, but it's not perfect. You'll want to run your own cleanup – we give you the raw data, not a polished CRM.
