Scraping ski resort emails was a pain in the ass. Most sites hide contact forms behind JS, and the few that expose mailto links are either outdated or spam traps. We finally cracked it by combining a headless browser with a custom parser that validates MX records. Now we have a clean list of 2,847 resorts, and every email is verified.

We started with a list of 1,200 resorts from public directories, but half were dead. So we built a scraper that hits the resort's own site, looks for contact pages, and extracts emails from raw HTML and JS-rendered content. Then we run a SMTP handshake to check if the mailbox exists. Still, about 8% bounce, but we replace those credits.

The tricky part was handling resorts in remote areas with shitty websites. Some are just a Facebook page with no email. We had to cross-reference with local tourism boards and industry association lists. Ended up with a dataset that covers 40+ countries, including niche heli-skiing outfits in Alaska and luxury chalets in the Alps. Not perfect, but damn good.

Data Schema & Dictionary

resort_name

The official name of the resort. If they have multiple locations, we list them separately. Useful for targeting campaigns by brand or group.

email

The primary contact email, usually the general info or reservations inbox. This is what you'll be sending to, so if it bounces, we swap it.

country

ISO country code (e.g., US, FR, JP). Helps you segment by region or exclude places you don't ship to.

resort_type

Either 'ski', 'snowboard', or 'both'. Some resorts cater to one or the other, so you can tailor your pitch.

annual_snowfall_inches

Average annual snowfall in inches. Gives you an idea of seasonality and whether the resort is likely to be open during your promo window.

number_of_lifts

Total lift count. Bigger resorts have more staff and likely bigger budgets. Useful for lead scoring.

website

The resort's official website URL. Sometimes you need to look them up on social media, and this is the starting point.

Frequently Asked Questions

How fresh is this data?
We scrape it every month, on the 1st. Emails are verified via SMTP handshake, but some still bounce because people change jobs or systems. If you get a bounce, tell us within 30 days and we'll give you a replacement credit. No endless back-and-forth.
Do you provide GDPR compliance?
We're scraping publicly available business emails, so it's technically legal. But you're responsible for how you use them. We don't provide consent, that's your job. Don't be an idiot and spam people who never asked.
Can I get a sample before buying?
Yes, we'll send you a CSV with 50 random resorts. It's free, no strings. If you like it, you buy the full list. If not, no hard feelings. Just email us and ask for the sample.
