Scraping download bars was a total pain. Most sites hide emails behind captchas or lazy-load modals. We had to reverse-engineer their APIs and run headless browsers at 3am to avoid rate limits. Took 6 weeks, but we finally got a clean list of 12,000+ bars with direct contact emails.

The data is messy. Lots of duplicate entries, dead domains, and generic info@ addresses. We deduped by domain and phone, then verified emails with a mailgun ping. Still, expect a 15% bounce rate. If you're okay with that, this list is gold for local outreach.

We built a scraper that hits Google Maps, Yelp, and bar websites. The tricky part was parsing menu pages to find the owner's email. We also cross-referenced state liquor licenses to confirm the bar is still operating. Not perfect, but it's the best you'll get without buying from a broker.

Data Schema & Dictionary

Bar Name

The legal name of the establishment. Don't expect consistency—some are 'The Rusty Nail', others 'RUSTY NAIL LLC'. Use this for personalization, but verify it.

Contact Email

The best available email for the bar. Could be info@, manager@, or owner@. This is what you're paying for. Treat it well; it's hard-won.

Phone Number

Primary phone listed on their site or Google Maps. Useful for cold calls or cross-referencing. May be a mobile, so don't be a creep.

Street Address

Physical location. Include this for local campaigns or drop-in visits. We scraped it from multiple sources to get the most accurate address.

City

City where the bar is located. Simple. Use it for segmenting by metro area.

State

Two-letter state code. Helps with regional targeting and compliance (e.g., alcohol laws).

ZIP Code

Postal code. Good for geo-mapping or direct mail. We validated against USPS data to cut down on errors.

Website URL

The bar's official website. If they have one, we found it. Use it to check if they're still active or to pull more context.

Facebook URL

Link to their Facebook page. Many bars are more active here than on their own site. Could be a better way to reach them.

Instagram URL

Their Instagram handle, if they have one. Great for seeing their vibe and maybe DMing them, though that's a different play.

Yelp Rating

Average Yelp rating (1-5). Gives you a quick health check. A 2.5-star bar might be desperate for marketing help.

Yelp Review Count

Number of Yelp reviews. Combined with rating, tells you how established they are and how much social proof they have.

Owner Name

Name of the owner or manager if we could find it. Sometimes from the website's 'About' page or public records. Not always present, but valuable for personalization.

How fresh is this data?
We scraped this dataset 30 days ago. We run a re-scrape every month, but you're buying the current snapshot. If you find dead emails, we'll swap them for credits. Don't expect miracles—email lists decay like fruit.
Where did you scraped the emails from?
A mix of Google Maps, the bar's own website, Yelp, and Facebook. We wrote a scraper that visits each site and looks for mailto links, contact pages, and footer emails. It's not perfect, but it's more reliable than guessing.
Can I get a sample before buying?
Sure, I'll send you 50 rows for free. Just email me. But if you're going to spam them, don't bother. I'll know and I'll blacklist you.
How many bars are in the list?
Right now, it's 12,847 unique bars across the US. That number changes as we prune bad records. We only include bars with a valid email format and a working website (or at least a DNS record).
Is this legally obtained data?
Yes, it's public info from the internet. We don't hack or buy from shady sources. That said, it's your responsibility to comply with CAN-SPAM and GDPR if you're emailing them. We're not your lawyer.
