[ 49,950 ROWS LOCKED ]
>_ SYSTEM.ANALYSIS.LOG_

Scraping this niche was a nightmare because of the fragmented state-level incentives and the fact that most solar installers hide their contact forms behind JS-rendered SPAs. We finally cracked the API to extract the data by combining reverse-engineering the frontend bundle with a headless browser fallback for the stubborn ones. The result is a raw dump of businesses actually selling solar, with phone numbers, emails, and physical addresses, not some random list of roofing companies pretending to be solar.

The hardest part was deduplicating the same company across multiple state registries and local chamber sites. Some of these guys operate under three different DBA names. We ended up writing a fuzzy matching script that compares address + phone + domain, which brought the duplicate rate down to under 2%. The data is still raw, meaning you'll see some nulls and occasional typos, but that's what you get when you scrape the real world. No hand-holding, just clean-ish CSV.

You want solar leads? Here's the dirty truth: most lists you can buy are recycled junk from 2019. We built our own crawlers that hit the NABCEP directory, state licensing boards, and Google Maps API for solar installers, then we enrich with email patterns and verify phone numbers using a telco lookup. It's not perfect, but it's the freshest thing you'll find. We update it monthly because the industry churns like crazy. If a lead goes bust, we replace it. That's our promise.

Data Schema & Dictionary

company_name

The legal or trade name of the solar installation business. This is the field you'll use to look up the company on Google or LinkedIn before you call.

phone

Primary business phone number. We verify these with a telco lookup, but if the number is disconnected, you're on your own. We'll swap the lead if it bounces.

email

The best-guess email address for the company. We infer it from the domain pattern (e.g., info@, sales@). It's not always accurate, but it's better than nothing.

street_address

The physical street address of the office. Useful for territory mapping or direct mail, but don't expect it to be a showroom. Most of these are warehouses or home offices.

city

City where the business is located. This is key for filtering by state incentives or sun exposure. No, we don't have solar irradiance data, but you can guess.

state

Two-letter state code. If you're selling solar panels, you know why this matters. If not, go back to selling widgets.

zip

ZIP code. We include it because some of your CRMs need it, and it helps with local targeting. It's just a string, so don't try to sum it.

license_number

State-issued contractor license number, where available. This is gold for verifying that the company is legit, especially in states with strict licensing like Florida.

website

The company's website URL. We scraped it from the search results. Some are dead links. We don't care, but you might want to check before you send a proposal.

founded_year

The year the company was founded. Older doesn't mean better, but it's a quick filter for stability. If it's null, we couldn't find it on the web. Use your judgment.

employee_count

Estimated number of employees from business directories. It's a rough range, not an exact headcount. But it's useful for qualifying leads by size.

yrs_in_business

How long the company has been operating, calculated from the founded year. We include it so you don't have to do the math. You're welcome.

social_facebook

Facebook page URL if we found one. Some are dead, some are active. It's a quick way to see if they're engaging with customers or just a shell.

social_linkedin

LinkedIn company URL. Again, not always present. But if it is, you can find the decision-maker's name and title without playing phone tag.

last_verified

The date we last checked this record for validity. If it's older than 3 months, treat it as suspect. We update monthly, but you should still verify before a big spend.

Frequently Asked Questions

How fresh is this data?
We scrape it on the 1st of every month. If it bounces, tell us and we swap the credit. Simple. But don't expect real-time updates – this is a monthly snapshot, not a live feed. If you need daily refreshes, we can talk about an API, but that's a separate deal.
What's the deal with the null fields?
Look, we scrape from public sources. If a company doesn't have a LinkedIn page, there's no LinkedIn URL. If they're a new LLC, they might not have an employee count on any directory. So nulls happen. You're buying a raw CSV, not a polished marketing list. If you want clean data, go pay 10x more for a B2B database that's probably just as dirty.
Can I get a refund if the data is shit?
If you find a record that's completely wrong (like a residential address or a disconnected phone number), we'll replace it with a new lead – up to 10% of your order. But if you're expecting 100% accuracy, you're delusional. This is scraped data, not a government registry. We do our best, but the real world is messy.
Why is the phone number sometimes missing?
Because some solar companies are paranoid and don't list their numbers publicly. We scrape what's out there. If we can't find a phone, we leave it blank. You can still reach them via email or website form. If you need phone numbers for every single record, you're asking for something that doesn't exist in the wild.
